Tea stains can leave visible color even after the liquid itself has been blotted away. A prompt cool-water response helps remove soluble material before normal laundering.
Use a laundry pretreatment product according to its label, then wash within the garment’s care instructions. WashCareLab does not treat “tea” as permission to use bleach or a stronger chemical on every fabric.
Blot excess tea, then sponge or rinse the stained area with cool water as soon as practical without aggressive rubbing.
Avoid: Do not machine dry the item while the stain is still visible, and do not exceed the garment care-label limits.
