Who may benefit
Easy-care shirts, synthetic blends and wrinkle-prone everyday garments may fit when their labels permit the cycle.
It is not automatically gentle
Permanent Press and Delicate are not synonyms. Exact agitation, temperature and spin behavior vary by washer.
Match the label and the machine
Use the garment care instructions and washer manual together, especially for garments with trims, coatings or stretch components.
Use product-specific instructions
Garment care labels, appliance manuals and laundry-product directions can be more specific than a general guide. Use them when they set a tighter limit.
